A Space to Reflect, Connect, and Grow.
Helping professions ask us to hold a lot: complex stories, ethical decisions, changing systems, and the responsibility of supporting others.
The Community of Practice creates space to reflect on that work together.
Facilitated by Kit Kline, each monthly gathering brings practitioners together to explore real-world practice, share perspectives, question established ways of working, and consider creative and holistic approaches to supporting people.
It is a space for professional reflection, thoughtful conversation and connection with practitioners who understand the realities of the work.
Why Join the Community of Practice
Professional practice can feel isolating, especially when you question traditional approaches and explore different ways of working. The Community of Practice gives you a regular place to step outside the day-to-day demands of practice and think more deeply about the work you do.
Monthly live group sessions
Join a 90-minute facilitated online gathering focused on reflection, discussion and shared learning.
Real-World Practice Reflection
Explore practice challenges, ethical considerations, client work and the complexities that arise when working with people.
Creative & Critical Thinking
Consider different ways of understanding people, systems and practice beyond rigid or problem-focused models.
Trauma-Informed & Holistic Perspectives
Explore trauma-informed, nature-based, somatic and holistic perspectives and how they can inform everyday practice.
Professional Connection
Connect with practitioners who value thoughtful, ethical and compassionate ways of working.
What Happens in Each Monthly Gathering
Each Community of Practice is shaped around thoughtful conversation, professional reflection and the experiences practitioners bring into the space.
Sessions may include:
- Real-world practice challenges and case reflection
- Trauma-informed approaches
- Ethical questions and professional boundaries
- Systems, structures and their impact on people
- Creative and holistic approaches to practice
- Nature-based and somatic perspectives
- Practitioner wellbeing and sustainable practice
The aim isn't simply to collect more tools. It is to strengthen how we think, reflect and respond as practitioners while learning from the experiences and perspectives of others.
Who This Community Is For
The Community of Practice is centred around holistic social work while welcoming professionals from other helping disciplines.
It may be particularly valuable for:
- Social workers
- Counsellors and therapists
- Mental health practitioners
- Support workers
- Educators
- Wellbeing professionals
- Other practitioners working in helping professions
You don't need to practise in a particular therapeutic model. What matters is a willingness to reflect, stay curious and explore thoughtful, trauma-informed and holistic ways of working with people.
